We welcome members from all creative backgrounds: Visual, Performance, Written/Spoken Word...

Membership Benefits :

Eligible to participate in our entry fee-waived member exhibitions and receive a reduced rate for open juried events with entry fees.
Retain 80% of the sale of your artwork. Yes, the VAC's commission is only 20% !
Use the Vine Arts Resource Center and programmed events as opportunities to network, gain business skills, and promote your art and ideas.
Gain web visibility with a member webpage and/or link to your web site.
Connect with artists from all backgrounds and people who share your enthusiasm in supporting a thriving creative community !

Volunteer Membership

$35 annual Membership fee
Commit a minimum of 12 hours every 3 months to various VAC duties (6 hours must be spent working in the gallery during open hours).
Attend VAC monthly member meetings. (cannot miss more than two consecutive meetings)
Be open to offer your expertise and learn through VAC opportunities.

Associate Membership

$100 annual Membership fee
There is no specified time commitment, but associate members are welcomed and encouraged to participate with events and VAC open hours.
Attend VAC monthly member meetings. (cannot miss more than two consecutive meetings)
Be open to offer your expertise and learn through VAC opportunities.

Application Process :

Fill out the Vine Arts Center Membership Application and return with signed Member Contract and Annual Membership Fee.
Written statement of introduction including why you wish to become a Volunteer VAC Member, how you wish to contribute, and what you hope to gain. (No more than one page)
Artist statement or biography or combination of both. (Brief, no more than two pages total)
Samples of work: For visual artists: Five to ten labeled JPEG images of your work on CD. For performance/music artists: a CD/ DVD with samples of audio /video work. For written/spoken word: CDS and paper copy of your writing samples.

Please include both a typed paper copy and electronic copy on CD.

Include Self-addressed Envelope. Please include return postage if you would like materials returned. Materials of accepted members will become property of Vine Arts Center to be used in Vine Arts Member book and website.

Applications will be reviewed at the next scheduled monthly board members' meeting with final approval at the monthly member meeting. Applicants will be notified in a timely manner. Application fee will be returned if not approved.
