Artist's Statement

Lee’s art celebrates beauty, hope and healing. Her multi-layered oil pastels, acrylics, archival quality gyclee prints and art cards are filled with images to warm our long cold Minnesota winters. Working from a meditative and sacred place of deep listening, Lee allows her vibrant, tropical colored images to evolve from the inside out. Her themes range from; the magic of nature  “Pink Island Series” to regenerating our hearts “heARTful Series” and embracing change “Angels of Trensformation”.

Biographical Information

Lee has a passion for helping people to find their creative joyful selves and live their lives artfully.  As the Kalahari SAN say “Always there is a dream dreaming us.” Lee grew up on the edge of Spanish Harlem in New York City, where she attended Music & Art high school. She completed art teacher training at Rhode Island School of Design and has taken classes at School of Visual Arts and The Arts Student League. She has taught and sold her artwork for over 20 years. She is on the board of the Minnesota Association for Creative Aging and is a member of the Upper Midwest Association for Arts in Healthcare.

Lee also holds a Masters in psychology and is certified as a global career counselor. She currently divides her time between making and teaching art and a private therapy practice, where she often uses art to accelerate a persons healing journey.
