This latest exhibit of fly eye pictures
connects and contrasts seemingly separate realities. Fly
eyes are 180º√ photo collages, and recycling that are
quilted into paintings. They become mandalas of today’s
postindustrial world. Subjects that illustrate the
collision of human and natural landscapes compel me to
make pictures. Each piece seeks the sacred in the
mundane. They testify to Twin Cities life as it’s
changing.
An Exhibition of Mixed
Media
featuring the work of Jason Lee, Chris Pastras and
Clint Peterson.
Stereo Sound Agency Presents:
Lee will exhibit some of his photographic work, while
Pastras and Peterson will be present examples of their drawings,
illustrations and paintings. A large collection of Stereo
skateboards from throughout the years chronicling Stereo’s history
will also be on display at the exhibit.
Founded in 1992 by renowned
professional skateboarders and longtime friends Jason Lee and Chris
Pastras, Stereo came as a breath of fresh air during a time that
many skaters felt that skateboarding had creatively hit rock bottom.
Their unique and highly innovative approach to
skating, with emphasis on style, originality and plain old fashion
fun, was quickly embraced by the skateboard community.
